Concrete Hardstanding to Lorry Park

To Reinstate Defective Surfacing with New Concrete Hardstanding

This project was located in a high traffic lorry park zone, where the existing bitumen surface had deteriated and required replacing.

The project involved removing the defective tarmac surface and installing a concrete hardstanding, to withstand future traffic.

The works involved:

• To mechanically saw cut around the permiter of the defective bitumen
• To excavate the bitumen surfacing and existing subbase to required depth, carting away all arisings
• Supply and lay MOT Type 1 hardcore and consolidate accordingly
• Supply and lay visqueen over hardcore
• Supply and lay steel reinforcement 
• Supply and pour high strength fast track concrete
